Andrew Hicks, MBA

Andrew is currently an MBA student at TCU’s Neeley School of Business concentrating in Finance, Entrepreneurship and Data Analytics. Outside of the classroom, Andrew was one of two MBA students chosen for an 18-month fellowship program with the Cowtown Angels, an investment network that gives local angel investors a platform to invest in early stage ventures. In this role, Andrew screens all applicants, performs comprehensive due diligence, financial analysis, risk assessment, market research, evaluates upside potential and performs valuations. In addition to his responsibilities with the Cowtown Angels, he works as a spring MBA intern for Summit Peak Investments, a venture capital fund of funds. In this role, Andrew supports both managing directors with day to day operations, fundraising, portfolio management, data analytics, investor relations and new manager selection. Prior to starting his MBA, Andrew was an experienced early stage startup operator. Serving as the Director of Sales for Lower48 Analytics, and Head of Business Development for RunTitle, both early stage oil and gas technology companies located in Austin, TX. In addition to these two roles, Andrew also spent time working in finance with Merrill Lynch.
Andrew received his bachelor's degree in Communication from TCU. In his free time he enjoys hiking, fly fishing, exploring new restaurants, watching or attending all TCU sporting events, and hanging out with his wife and golden retriever.
