Melody Po brings over 20 years of industry experience in healthcare and financial services to her new role as Partner at DigitalDx Ventures. Melody has created value for and provided advice to institutional and high-net-worth investors with her investment research, business development, marketing and portfolio construction expertise across healthcare and technology verticals. She began her investment career at Loomis Sayles in its Small Cap Growth Fund and at Victoria 1522 Investments where she helped launch its Flagship Fund and identified undervalued stocks for long-term oriented investors. Melody continued to expand her investment leadership roles from institutional to high-net-worth individuals as Portfolio Manager at Lido Advisors and Lyell Wealth Management. There, she focused on scaling the business, evaluating investment opportunities, and constructing equity and debt portfolios while acting as a fiduciary to all her clients. At Boston Private (acquired by Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) Private), Melody co-chaired the local Investment Policy Committee meetings, created thought pieces for the banking community, and spoke at industry events.
Prior to her career in finance, Melody spent a few years in academia (Whitehead Institute) and biopharmaceutical companies (Praecis, acquired by GlaxoSmithKline; and Dyax, acquired by Takeda) as a lab scientist with an interest in competitive intelligence and structuring BD deals. She worked with pioneers in genome sequencing, chromosome imbalance, and phage display to further shed light on the molecular pathways of cancer, aging, and inflammatory diseases.
Melody holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and an MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is passionate about providing mentoring and coaching in areas of STEM, career guidance, and English as a Second Language.
