Maureen possesses a global perspective given much of her career has been spent living and working internationally across multiple cultures. She has experience in global finance and private equity investing in both developed and emerging economies. She has a track record of success demonstrated through increasing levels of responsibility in investment, new business development and capital raising roles.
Maureen was most recently Managing Director of SharesPost Investments Management LLC. She was the senior portfolio manager and advisor to the SP 100 Fund, a 40 Act Interval Fund investing in late-stage, venture backed, growth private companies. She was also Head of New Products for SharesPost Inc., focused on creating both digital asset investment products and services as well as traditional private equity investment fund products. SharesPost Inc is the leading financial platform for transacting in private companies securities.
As an equity principal at Pantheon Ventures, Maureen made secondary, primary and co- investments in developed and emerging markets. She was a member of the inaugural Global Co- investment and Emerging Market Investment Committees Funds and a senior member of the global secondary investment team. As a business development executive, her strong commercial ability enabled her to identify and develop new business opportunities in Latin America, identify and structure partnerships, create bespoke products and fundraise over $300m in multiple geographies as well as co-lead the launch of Pantheon’s first Global Emerging Markets fund. She was a regular speaker at industry events, chaired the EMPEA Latin American Council and led multiple education sessions for LPs and GPS on ESG and other private equity topics.
Prior to joining Pantheon, Maureen was a Vice President in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs, & Co, working in London, Paris and San Francisco. Her execution experience includes cross-border and domestic M&A and leveraged buy-out transactions, debt restructuring assignments and a broad spectrum of capital market financings from equity to high yield across industries. Given her leveraged finance and M&A background, Maureen worked extensively with private equity firms. Upon moving to San Francisco, Maureen advised west coast healthcare companies across sub- sectors. Before joining Goldman Sachs in 1998, Maureen worked for Merrill Lynch in New York in their Fixed Income Division.
Maureen graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Epsilon Delta with a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics / Economics from Claremont McKenna College. She holds a MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton Graduate School of Business. Maureen is a member of the board of Claremont McKenna College’s Financial Economic Institution and was previously a board member of The Robert Day School of Economics and Finance at Claremont McKenna College. She is also an advisory board member of several early stage companies.
