Scott Ashworth is a 30-year veteran of the diagnostic industry. His roles include CCO, Head of Global Sales, and VP of Sales. He has created over eight hundred million in revenue in the medical device and healthcare data industries with Fortune 500 and startup organizations.
Ashworth is Chief Commercial Officer for Magnus Medical. Before joining Magnus Medical, he was CCO for DocSpera, a pre-and post-operative care coordination platform addressing care continuum challenges facing procedural specialists and OR professionals. Ashworth was vice president of sales at Hearst Health, where he led record sales growth year over year for their largest drug data business. Before joining Hearst Health, Ashworth was head of global sales for Gauss Surgical, a leading developer of computer vision applications using iPad-based healthcare systems. At Gauss, he successfully built and supported sales teams throughout the U.S. to meet the ever-changing hospital, imaging, data, and product demands.
Ashworth’s previous tenures also include senior executive positions at HeartFlow, Siemens Medical, and HP Healthcare, which Philips Medical acquired. At HeartFlow, he was the company’s first vice president of global marketing and sales, building the commercial foundation for a transformative SaaS image mapping and service business model that included an initial strategic investment and distribution partnership with GE Medical. HeartFlow recently announced it would go public, valued at $2.4 billion. While at Siemens, Mr. Ashworth held several sales and marketing management roles and was ultimately promoted to vice president of worldwide sales and service, where he was responsible for $800 million in revenue.
Ashworth has been on the Founders Board at StartX since 2015, a non-profit Stanford University-affiliated incubator made up of serial entrepreneurs, industry experts, tenured Stanford professors, and 700+ well-funded growth-stage startups. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Kinesiology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
