a) Fellowship 2024

Job Description: You will work side-by-side with DigitalDx’s team and receive active coaching and mentorship. You will work on a variety of daily business activities and special projects and learn up close and personal what VC investing is all about. We are currently seeking fellows who are highly analytical and deeply passionate about digital healthcare startups.

Job Responsibilities:

MBA, MD, JD, Masters or PhDs Candidates currently pursuing a degree in Business/Management/Artificial Intelligence/STEM/ Economics/Science/Medicine/Investment or other relevant degrees
A deep passion in startups, technology, venture capital, etc.
Self-starter – able to take the initiative, prioritize and run on own with limited guidance
Comfortable with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment where things change
constantly
Open to learning new skills and taking on a variety of projects and tasks
Extreme attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
Values-driven and adheres to the highest levels of professional and personal integrity
Team player – happy to do whatever is required to support the team
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to synthesize and articulate thoughts
about companies and markets concisely
Experience with family offices, fund of funds, placement agents, advisory services or
endowments, is a plus but not required
Experience at a competitive startup or VC firm highly preferred but not required

Projects

1) Due diligence
Description: researching and analyzing investment opportunities, competitive assessment, scouting for investment opportunities etc

Desired experience: Past experience in due diligence for technology, consulting or investment banking, former tech transfer office work, ability to understand and interpret scientific articles, knowledge of biotech ecosystem helpful

2) Market Research Analysis/Diagnostic Market Mapping
Description: This team will be responsible for outputting data analysis based on topics related to digital diagnostics such as past deal flow, present focus and investment activity, and where investor money is headed in the future.

Desired experience: MBA, medical knowledge/competency, data analysis, work experience in Health-Care, Life Sciences, Venture Capital, Consulting or Investment Banking

Each fellow will be assigned a week during which they will present a short 5-minute science venture news or company update.

Start/End Date: Spring Cohort: Jan 26th - April 27th

b) Technical Fellowship 2024

Job Description: You will work side-by-side with DigitalDx’s team and receive active coaching and mentorship. You will learn real-time what it’s like on a weekly basis to work in a venture fund sourcing deals, supporting portfolio companies, fundraising, building technology to improve workflow, and researching emerging areas where technology is changing healthcare. We value diversity of thought - and as such fellows are welcome from backgrounds such as: AI/technology, business, science/medicine, biology/chemistry, regulatory and healthcare/public health backgrounds. Fellows who are highly analytical and deeply passionate about using technology to improve processes both internal and external are welcome. Technical fellows will have the opportunity to help develop in-house technology used for dealflow. You will contribute to the visualization and usage of the AI/ML scoring technology the firm has developed. Graduate students with AI/ML, software development, and UI/UX skill sets are encouraged to apply

Job Responsibilities:

Tech: Web app development for an in-house dealflow platform will be the primary focus of the Tech Fellows. This platform will improve the firm’s workflow and data analysis. More information will be given during the interview.
Due diligence: Tech Fellows will be invited to partner with Venture Fellows to participate in due diligence and deal sourcing. This includes researching and analyzing investment opportunities, competitive assessment, scouting for investment opportunities, etc.
Market Research Analysis/ Diagnostic Market Mapping [1] [2] : Tech Fellows will be invited to partner with Venture Fellows to perform data analysis based on topics related to digital diagnostics such as past deal flow, present focus and investment activity, and where investor money is headed in the future.

Technical Qualifications:

Experienced with React, Typescript (Javascript) and/or AWS
1+ years of Web Development experience (preferably Full-Stack, if not Front-End)
Bachelor's degree (or significant progress toward that degree)
