Anita Samarth is a national leader in health technology interoperability and digital health policy. At Clinovations Government + Health, she runs a digital health strategy firm focused on the intersection of health, technology, and policy. Anita has over 25 years of experience in health care technology and worked on health technology initiatives at over 200 healthcare organizations nationwide.
She is author of Interoperability for Dummies and the co-author of Electronic Health Records for Dummies (both from Wiley Publishing). She was honored by the Washington Business Journal with a “2013 Minority Business Leader Award” and a “2013 Women Who Mean Business Award”. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation, and the Board of Directors for Costs of Care, a non-profit that educates, advocates, and supports improving the value and affordability of healthcare.
Previously, she co-founded Clinovations, a health technology strategy firm which was acquired by the Advisory Board Company/Optum. She held management and leadership roles at Executives for Health Innovation (eHealth Initiative) and GE Healthcare IT and worked in health technology consulting for First Consulting Group (CSC) and Accenture.
