Anthony is a serial entrepreneur with five years of life science entrepreneurship experience. He was part of the founding team of a digital health startup solving complex operating room inefficiencies. Some of his duties included business operations and development, product/project management and development, client relations, capital raise, etc. From that role he transitioned into his role as an Entrepreneur in Residence at UT Southwestern Medical Center providing consulting services for faculty helping them streamline their ideas from inception to commercialization. Breaking into Venture Capital, he completed a fellowship with Vencapital learning the mechanics behind venture, did due diligence and sourced deals for partnering firms tackling the Digital Health, Ed Tech, and FinTech verticals. He is also a mentor for the Venture Mentoring Service for companies providing knowledge helping them navigate the complexities of the start-up world.
Anthony holds degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Texas Southern University. In addition to his venture capital interests, he is currently working on his investment thesis to begin angel investing in underrepresented founders.
