Apoorva Mehta, MD MBA
|
Apoorva Mehta is a second-year MD/MBA candidate at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. His extensive research experience has switched from focusing on the application of antioxidative cerium oxide nanoparticles to clinical research in surgical outcomes of meniscus tears, ACL reconstructions, and the national trends of vascular surgery. During medical school, Apoorva joined and became regional director for a medical student health innovation group MD+ to cultivate his non-clinical interests in start-ups and physician-entrepreneurship.
Apoorva holds a B.S. in Economics and Biochemistry from Clemson University. While still exploring his clinical specialty interests, Apoorva’s past experience with health inequities and inefficiencies while scribing has made him passionate about healthcare innovation, digital health, and diagnostics that can optimize care for all patients. In his free time, he enjoys working out, traveling, playing tennis, and exploring NYC.
