Beryl is a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University studying Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Birmingham School of Medicine in England. She has completed two years of post-graduate training in various medical and surgical specialties.
Outside of clinical medicine, Beryl is heavily involved in global surgery research and advocacy, having served in leadership roles in the International Student Surgical Network (InciSioN) and the Gender Equity Initiative in Global Surgery (GEIGS). She is a member of the Johns Hopkins Graduate Consulting Club, where she has enjoyed consulting pro bono for an investor-backed medical device startup.
She is deeply passionate about storytelling, and spends her free time reading, writing, listening to or producing podcasts.
