Brian is a current PGY-3 general surgery resident at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) with plans to pursue a career in academic cardiothoracic surgery. He graduated Summa cum laude from Middlebury College with a degree in biochemistry and computer science. He then earned an MD/MBA from the University of Rochester, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma from the business school and Alpha Omega Alpha from the school of medicine.
Since undergrad he has been involved with artificial intelligence medical research. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including projects developing prognostic models for patients after orthotopic heart transplantation and p survival after veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO).
During business school he was actively involved in the venture capital club and now consults for AI healthcare startups.
In his free time, Brian enjoys all outdoor activities, particularly backpacking, waterskiing and trail running.
