Clement is a highly driven and motivated medical affairs professional with deep expertise in medical strategic activities. He is board certified in medical affairs, oncology and pharmacoeconomics. In addition, he completed a fellowship with Wifor institute and ISPOR, focusing on health technology assessment. His doctoral training at Nanyang Technological University focuses on pharmaceutical innovations.
As the Medical Lead for Oncology for Roche and Astellas Pharma, he played a pivotal role in developing, implementing, guiding and communicating the regional and local medical Affairs’ strategy and activities. He has won numerous industry and academic awards, which include Roche emerging leader (2021), Astellas Asia Ocean Medical Advisor of the Year (2018), Unilab Top Performer of the Year (2016), Best of ASCO 3rd prize (2018), DAC Newton Young Fellow (2020). He is also highly entrepreneurial, having the experience of co-founding a strategic healthcare communication and consultancy. Previously, he also played a pioneering role in developing and spearheading the Business Development and Medical Affairs function for United Laboratories Singapore. Prior to that, as a researcher in the Agency of Science, Technology and Research, he pioneered the start-up of two research laboratories and initiated numerous translational projects.
Aside to his work in medical affairs, Clement enjoys spending his free time on research and has recently completed the global clinical scholar research training program from Harvard Medical School and comparative effectiveness research training program from MD Anderson. His passion for medical innovations has also led him to completing the Stanford Biodesign & SMART Innovation Fellowship program. In 2021, he was also awarded the Pioneering Asean Intellectual Property Fellowship ASEAN Young Scientists Network in collaboration with the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI).
