Deeksha Chawla, MBA

Deeksha is currently a 2nd year Executive MBA student at Columbia Business School and is based in New York City. She also works at a Peter Thiel backed biotech startup called EpiBone- a revolutionary bone reconstruction company. Prior to EpiBone, she was a Clinical Testing Associate at Pfizer where she worked on the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine, Prevnar 13. As a scientist and MBA student, Deeksha’s interest in venture capital has ignited. She is excited to use her research experience and finance skills to explore innovative healthcare companies with the most compelling teams, business models and ideas.
Deeksha currently resides on the Student Leadership and Ethics Board (SLEB) which aims to foster a culture and safeguard a tradition of principled leadership throughout the Columbia Business School community. She is an avid traveler, having been brought up on the seven seas. Her family was a part of the Merchant Marines which allowed her to explore 6 out of the 7 continents by the age of 3. She enjoys hiking in Upstate New York and spending time with friends and family.
