Ishani Sheth is a dual degree MPH/MBA student at Johns Hopkins University, where she is exploring how to leverage technology and innovation to advance health equity, specifically for low-and-middle income countries. She is especially passionate about bringing new health-innovations to market in low resource settings. Ishani is a co-founder of a tech-enabled and social services start-up aimed at supporting social workers and individuals accessing social services. She also serves as a member of Carey’s Women in Business group.
Ishani previously worked at PATH, a global health nonprofit, as an Associate Clinical Research Manager. At PATH she was responsible for the implementation of multiple Phase III clinical trials for novel vaccines, conducted in low-and-middle income countries and on the pathway for WHO prequalification. Before PATH, she worked as an ORISE Fellow at the U.S. FDA, researching how to improve the agency's food-borne pathogen detection methods to ultimately reduce food-borne pathogen outbreaks.
In her free time, Ishani’s hobbies include learning to cook different cuisines and exploring the outdoors.
