Ivan is a rising senior at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor majoring in Economics and minoring in Complex Systems. He came to the U.S. from China six years ago to pursue his passion in economics, particularly a subfield called development economics. Healthcare is an indispensable component in a country’s development, and he wishes to study how we could better utilize healthcare to achieve sustainable growth. In his previous internship, he had conducted detailed research and due diligence on Greenovo, a Chinese company that specializes in manufacturing medical apparatus and instruments.
He has been involved in numerous international and cultural organizations on campus, of which he hopes to build bridges and platforms for students from different cultures and backgrounds to interact. In his free time, Ivan likes to rock climb, play no-limit Texas hold 'em cash games, and read non-fiction books that further his understanding about the world.
