Joe is pursuing his PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on developing nanoparticle formulations for numerous biomedical applications in both diagnostics and therapeutics. Before starting his graduate studies, he worked at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center studying the role of epigenetics in cancer metastasis. Besides working on his thesis projects, he currently works to bring two innovative healthcare technologies into the market. He enjoys playing outdoor team sports, such as soccer and football.
