Melania Antoszko, BComm

Melania is a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Alberta, majoring in finance and minoring in marketing. She has worked in market research, data analysis, financial administration, and customer service roles. In her previous role as a Research and Strategy intern at Edmonton Economic Development, she conducted extensive research to support Alberta companies planning to expand overseas. After working with these startups and attending events hosted by local entrepreneurs, she became interested in the startup space in Edmonton.
In her university community, she enjoys helping students by giving them valuable experiences and opportunities, through organizing events or providing useful resources. As the VP Art and Design for Lazy Faire magazine, the University of Alberta's business magazine, she has designed the magazine for 3 years. Furthermore, as the VP External at the Business Finance Association, she interviewed the University of Alberta Alumni for a Finance Career Guide and organized an event for students to tour financial institutions in Toronto. Through these experiences, she became interested in pursuing a career in venture capital and responsible investing. Melania is also passionate about sustainability and fashion. She is using her digital marketing skills at Attire Media to create SEO strategies and marketing materials.
