Noreen is an MD candidate at the University of Miami. She graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. in Cell Biology and Anatomy. Prior to attending medical school, Noreen spent 2 years working at Stanford University School of Medicine as a clinical research coordinator on clinical trials and biomarker research for autism spectrum disorder.
Noreen witnessed the impact that technology could have on healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic when she served as the co-chair of 3D printed personal protective equipment for a student-run non-profit organization that helped 3D print, assemble, and distribute thousands of face shields to local hospitals and clinics in Miami. This experienced cultivated her interest in the intersection between technology and healthcare and she has been working on developing one of her ideas into an iPhone application. In her spare time, Noreen is an avid painter and writer.
