Stephanie Zawada, MS is a PhD fellow at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, where her dissertation focuses on two parts: (1) decentralized clinical trial design and validation for remote monitoring and (2) regulatory reform and reimbursement strategies for remote monitoring technologies. She is a current NIH TL1 trainee and was an FDA Center of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation Scholar and a Mount Sinai Innovation Partners Fellow. Before Mayo Clinic, she was a health policy fellow for a leading D.C. think tank, where her recommendations influenced COVID-19 relief legislation and informed the development of the nation's telehealth reimbursement and regulatory framework. In addition to her scholarly work, Zawada volunteers as a mentor to middle school students learning experimental design for science fair competitions.
