Teryn is pursuing her PhD in Neuroscience at Columbia where her research focuses on immunoengineering cellular therapeutics for cancer/neurodegenerative diseases. Prior to Columbia, she worked at both MIT and MGH/Harvard Medical School investigating the role of infection in Alzheimer’s. Outside of research, she enjoys participating in various creative projects. A few of these endeavors include freelance innovation consulting for the pharmaceutical company, Bayer, the Department of Defense, as well as pro-bono work for the nonprofit, the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction. Previous experiences include interning at a life science angel investment group in NYC and consulting for various startups. Her hobbies include traveling, playing piano, and attempting to paint/draw.
