Tom is a 1st year MBA candidate at the University of Michigan - Ross School of Business. Prior to coming to Ross, Tom began his career with the Central Intelligence Agency as a Logistics Officer, focusing on overseas operations and mission planning across multiple mission centers. Tom then transitioned to Deloitte Consulting within their Supply Chain & Networks Operations practice helping to bring sourcing & procurement improvements to clients across the Federal Government and Higher Education. Tom also worked on Deloitte’s Novel and Exponential Technologies Team, helping to produce Deloitte’s annual Tech Trends while helping account teams develop strategies around using AI and machine learning capabilities in their project delivery. At Ross, Tom is focused on expanding his interests in healthcare, operations, emerging technology, and venture to bring impactful solutions into the marketplace. Tom currently is an investment fellow for the Zell-Lurie Commercialization Fund, which is a is a student-run early-stage investment fund with the primary goal of identifying promising young startups in the University of Michigan community and surrounding areas and helping them build great companies.
Tom was born and raised in Nashville, TN and loves cheering on the Tennessee Vols, even if they continue to break his heart. He is a lifelong hockey player who loves to also cycle, trail run, and write poetry. Tom is an avid traveler who wants to cook dishes from any and all cuisines.
