Varunram Ganesh is a student at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Prior to Fuqua, he was a Research Engineer and Entrepreneur at the MIT Digital Currency Initiative (DCI) where he worked on a platform for end-end automation of solar infrastructure, and a Special Projects Manager at the Yale Open Innovation Lab where he worked on zero knowledge global CO2 emissions reporting. He is a two time founder, with his startup Educational Data Sovereignty focusing on data privacy for students, and Musicoin focusing on enabling real-time payouts for independent musicians. His background is in technology research and product strategy, and his interests span cryptocurrencies, emerging technologies and data privacy.
In his spare time, Varunram researches the network effects of conspiracy theories, reads about aliens and UFOs and looks at the best Falafel places in town. He also loves watching horror movies and playing retro games.
