Yashaswi Kumar, MBA

Yashaswi is currently a 2nd year MBA student at University of Maryland who is passionate about making an impact on a larger scale by empowering the healthcare industry. Prior to joining business school, Yashaswi worked as a transactional attorney in Mumbai, India for seven years, primarily focusing on Venture Capital/Private Equity and M&A. As a transactional attorney, he worked with Tier-1 law firm as well as founded his own law firm. Yashaswi has experience in working with numerous cross border clients from USA, India, Canada, UK, Japan and Singapore investing in diverse sectors.
In pursuit of giving back to the community, Yashaswi co-founded a non-profit organization to spread health awareness in the rural parts of India. He is a creative person and enjoys sketching and reading in his free time. He is also an avid traveller and loves meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Few of his favorite vacation spots are Phi Phi Island and Langkawi.
